Outstanding rotisserie restoration. Just finished 2020 and only driven 917 miles since. It is one of the best cars I've bought this year. The fit, finishes and function will exceed your expectations.
EXTERIOR: Claimed to be all original metal. The body is absolutely straight, the panels fit precisely. No rust or damage. The doors shut like a new car. It has the 427 GT-E hood scoop. The marker lights were removed and filled for a clean look. The Cardinal red paint has a smooth glossy finish. The door jambs are super detailed, painted real slick. New hardware, door latches, weather strips and sill plates. The original bumpers were rechromed. All the trim around the windows, door handles, mirrors, antenna look like new. New windshield. The retractable headlights are converted to electric, they open and close with ease. The sequential tail lights in back are working properly. It has F70 Firestone redline tires that look like bias ply but are actually radials. It also has a modern twist on the GT wheels, they are cut from alloy aluminum with red cougar center caps.
INTERIOR: Absolutely meticulously restored. Down on the floor is new carpet and cougar reproduction floor mats. The center console looks brand new including the shifter and bezel. It also has a quartz movement clock and the factory AM-FM stereo that works. In front of me is a pristine dash area. New dash pad, the whole instrument panel has a custom wrap. It has a full set of factory gauges including tachometer. Only 917 miles on the odometer which is since the restoration. It has the factory toggle switches. Premium wood rimmed steering wheel with chrome spokes. Overhead is a mini console, the headliner, visors, mirror and dome light are new. The door panels, armrests, handles and cranks are new. Seats are recushioned and upholstered. It has LED interior lights. Upgraded with three point retractable seat belts.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Completely rebuilt and highly detailed to show quality. Rebuilt 302 motor and it has a Holley carb with electric choke. It has date coded spark plug wires, reproduction hoses and clamps. New chrome valve covers and air cleaner. It features power steering and power brakes. Every single component looks brand new. The engine bay is all smooth metal with a nice satin black finish. The hinges are restored. Under the hood and the jambs are gloss red. New nuts and bolts throughout. New washer bottle. Reproduction Autolite battery is properly secured, new battery cables and solenoid.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Also restored like new. All clean metal painted red. The trunk lid and jamb are slick like glass. New wiring harness, weatherstrip, plaid mat and a matching tire cover. Brand new tire for the spare, the correct jack is restored. Working LED trunk light too.
UNDERSIDE: It is literally like brand new under this car. The floors are pristine metal. Correctly painted in slop gray with the proper amount of red body overspray. Every single component in the front end looks brand new. I'm talking about the a-arms, center link, tie rods, bushings, springs, shocks, ball joints etc. The power steering system is new. Even the nuts and bolts look new. In back it has new shocks, bushings and hardware. The fuel system is new including the tank, sending unit and fuel lines. The brake system has been completely restored. It has disc in front, new brake lines, hoses and e-brake assembly. New dual exhaust system with crossover pipe and the correct GT tips coming through the valance. The bottom of the motor is spotless. It has a Motorcraft oil filter, new fuel pump and starter. The C-4 automatic transmission is completely restored and concourse detailed with the factory paint markings reapplied. Rebuilt driveshaft also has factory paint markings. The rear end is restored and has 3.00:1 gears. Front to back looks new!
Really, this car exceeded my expectations. Detailed in and out, top to bottom. I drove it home and the car feels and functions amazingly well. This one is better then most cars at any price range. It's a good looking, unique car.
