This is a rare "GUNSMOKE" & Cowboy COLLECTION that includes:
*JAMES ARNESS Autograph, framed with engraved plaque
*A vintage PROP GUN used on "GUNSMOKE" in the 1970's
*DVD boxed set of 15 "GUNSMOKE" episodes
This Screen-Used PROP GUN obviously is NOT a real gun and has the required orange tip on the end...it is displayed in this new DISPLAY CASE...this "Smoker 45" was used by numerous "extras" (background cowboys) on the show in the 1970's.

This collection includes this ORIGINAL Framed Autographed Photo of JAMES ARNESS as Marshal Dillon on the beloved television series, "GUNSMOKE" with an original COA (Certificate of Authenticity) from world renowned PIECE OF THE PAST Autographs.
This black & white studio photo was signed in permanent marker by JAMES ARNESS.
This great Screen-Used Prop "GUNSMOKE" Gun came straight from the CBS television set of this great western series in 1974...
The Prop Gun was acquired from Earl Huntoon, a propman who worked on the "GUNSMOKE" television series...it is screen-used on the show for at least the last 4 years of the series.(1990-1994) The gun was used in multiple episodes by a variety of characters, but mostly extras/background actors.
It is a Television/Movie PROP and cannot be loaded or fired in any way...it has the orange cap on the end to comply with ebay & federal laws...
This PROP is made of metal and Earl told me it's actually a very old vintage toy gun and does have wear & tear that you would expect!  He had a HUGE INVENTORY of a variety of PISTOLS & RIFLES.
The PROP metal gun measures approximately 11" and has great detail, including these words, numbers and logo on the side of the gun...it is marked as an "Product Eng. Co., Portland, Ore, Pat. applied for, 45 SMOKER."  You can pull back the hammer that does make it click, but no smoke comes out like he said it used to.

This Prop GUN was intended for TELEVISION USE ONLY...it DOES NOT FIRE ANYTHING.  The cylinder is just a mold on the outside and DOES NOT HOLD ANYTHING.
You also receive this factory sealed set of "The Director's Collection" of GUNSMOKE episodes, from 1955 (black & white) to 1995 (color)...the directors picked an assortment of some of the best episodes with all these EXTRA Features!

This is a SCREEN-USED PROP 45 Pistol used on the television series, "GUNSMOKE" in the early 1970's...it is ORIGINAL & GUARANTEED GENUINE FOR LIFE by D.G.A. TV & Film Director Jack M. Sell and includes this original Certificate of Authenticity. (COA)
The DISPLAY is NEW and measures approximately 12" wide...the Prop Gun measures approximately 11" long...it also includes a custom made wooden stand.
On the grip of the gun, it's black in color and is worn, ect...still nice for display!

This PROP comes right out of our library and does not fire, is not a working gun in any way and complies with ebay & federal regulations.  We added the required orange tip to the barrel.

James Arness TV's Marshal Dillon on landmark 'Gunsmoke' series
James Arness was the towering actor best known for portraying Marshal Matt Dillon, the strong and commanding symbol of frontier justice on the landmark TV Western series "Gunsmoke." He passed at 88.
"Gunsmoke" debuted on CBS on Sept. 10, 1955, and
ran until 1975, far outdistancing its many competitors and becoming one of the longest-running prime-time series in network TV history.
In the process, Arness became one of television's most enduring stars, returning as Dillon in a handful of "Gunsmoke" TV movies in the late '80s and early '90s.
At 6 feet 7, Arness was a bigger-than-life actor who amply filled the boots of the mythic Dodge City lawman in the series, which earned praise for breaking TV Western-genre conventions with its strong dramatic stories and psychologically complex characters.
James Arness was cast as Marshal Dillon, along with the great
supporting cast members: Dennis Weaver as Dillon's stiff-legged deputy, Chester Goode; Amanda Blake as Kitty Russell, the proprietress of the Long Branch Saloon; and Milburn Stone as the weathered and wise Doc Adams.
His brother, actor Peter Graves, died in March 2010.
This collection has been stored in an acid free case in a smoke free environment since being acquired.
