Description
This AUCTION is for one (1)WWII USAAF
TYPE A-2
PROJECTOR RELEASE CONTROL
Similar to the Bombardier's Intervalometer that allowed him to control the quantity & interval of bombs to be dropped, this
PROJECTOR RELEASE CONTROL
allowed the pilot of the USAAF's rocket-equipped aircraft set how many and at what interval his 5" HVARs would leave the wing.
This would have been found in the cockpits of such aircraft as the
P-38 Lightning
,
P-47 Thunderbolt
,
P-51 Mustang
, the
A-26 Invader
, as well as other rocket-slinging Army Air Force planes.
Condition is unused, shelfworn with a missing toggle switch.
The all-important nomenclature data remains intact & nice!
Electricals are untested, but the interior looks just like it did when it was assembled by Rosie back during WWII.
Steel box approximate measurements are 4-3/8" X 4-3/8" X 2-1/4" and it weighs 2 pounds before packaging
Detailed images above show the
PROJECTOR RELEASE CONTROL
you'll receive.
